Whether you're a player or a spectator, the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2009 Live Qualifier Events will provide you with the ultimate football gaming experience!

With football skills zones to demonstrate your match performance, live music areas peppered with up and coming music acts, plus the opportunity to meet top professional footballers and win loads of goodies. Each event has something in it for everyone!

The FIFA Interactive World Cup 2009 provides more opportunities than ever before to secure a place at the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2009 Grand Final so you just need to turn up or log on to get involved.

Online Qualification

If you're unable to attend one of the live events then Online Qualification on the PS Network is the place for you. The Online Qualification will be run on the PS Network and will produce a number of finalists at the FIWC09 Grand Final. Once registered via EA SPORTS FIFA09 in-game registration on PlayStation®3, every single FIFA 09 game that players play on the PS Network against anybody in the world will count for the overall Confederation standings. For example should a player be a resident of Germany, they will automatically fall under the European Confederation leader board.

The 13 finalists who have booked their place from the FIWC 09 Online Qualification will be split as follows:

  • UEFA - The top 5 ranked players
  • CONCACAF - The top 2 ranked players
  • CONMEBOL - The top 2 ranked players
  • AFC - The top 2 ranked players
  • CAF - The top 1 ranked player
  • OCEANIA - The top 1 ranked player
